Frequently Asked Questions
What is AVODA Blue?
AVODA Blue is the faith-driven business accelerator of the AVODA Institute of Entrepreneurship. It is a covenant community of Christian founders: four months of classes together, then twelve months of building alongside coaches and peers. The curriculum runs to 11 modules, from Business Strategy and the Kingdom of God through Breakthrough Sales, AI Tools for Entrepreneurs, and the Theology of Business.
Since 2021 we have trained more than 543 entrepreneurs, drawn from over 1,247 applicants, across 7 cohorts.
How much does the program cost?
There are three tiers, and you can pay in instalments. Scholarships are available.
- AVODA Essentials: UGX 330,000 total (about USD 90, or UGX 82,500 a month for four months). Four months of in-person classes plus two weeks of AVODA Online.
- AVODA Online: UGX 1,650,000 total (about USD 450). Eighteen months of platform access, up to nine physical classes, six months of business and sales coaching, the 9-volume workbook suite, customer introductions, and a certificate.
- AVODA Blue (flagship): UGX 2,625,000 total (about USD 750). Everything above plus twelve months of business and sales coaching, lifetime co-working membership, the AVICS Credit Score and investor connections, “Meet the CEOs” fieldtrips, graduation, and lifetime AVODA Blue Status.
Coaching can also be bought separately at UGX 50,000 per 45-minute session, and co-working from UGX 25,000 per day.
Is the first week really free?
Yes. Apply, join us for the first week of classes, and then decide whether to continue. We would rather you experience the community than take our word for it.
How long does the program take?
Classes run for four months, from orientation in August to graduation in December. Coaching and community support continue for twelve months after that. Nobody can scale alone, and four months is where it starts, not where it ends.
When does the next cohort start, and when do applications close?
For the August 2026 cohort:
- Applications close Saturday, 1 August 2026
- Every applicant receives a decision by 5 August
- Orientation is Saturday, 8 August 2026 at 1:00 PM
- Graduation is 19 December 2026
Classes run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 5:45 PM to 8:00 PM, so you can keep working while you study.
How do I apply?
Apply through the AVICS platform at avics.io. The form takes about fifteen minutes. You will receive an email confirming your application, and a decision by 5 August for the August cohort.
Do I need an existing business to join?
No. Our cohorts include people with an idea and a conviction but no company yet, professionals employed elsewhere who sense a call to build, and founders whose business already runs but needs systems. If you are serious about building something that honours God and serves people, you belong here.
Do you offer the program online?
Yes. AVODA Online delivers the same 11-module curriculum to founders anywhere in the world, with eighteen months of platform access and six months of weekly coaching. Diaspora founders building for home, and founders far from Kampala, are both welcome.
Do you offer scholarships?
Yes. Scholarships are available and fees can be paid in instalments. Tell us your situation when you apply. The size of your wallet should not decide the size of your obedience.
What is AVICS?
AVICS is the AVODA Interest and Credit Score: our own creditworthiness score for founders, built on punctuality, financial accountability, and cognitive assessments. It is also the platform that hosts your classes, assessments, payments and attendance. Flagship students graduate with an AVICS score they can show to investors, and no other accelerator in Africa offers anything like it.
Is this program religious?
AVODA is unapologetically Christian. Scripture runs through every module, including a full module on the Theology of Business. We hold the triple bottom line, healthy revenue, real social impact, and Kingdom value, as a moral non-negotiable. Founders of all backgrounds are welcome, but the faith framing is central, not decorative.
How do I get investment in my business?
Investment readiness is a full module of the programme, taught by Daniel Joloba. Flagship students build an AVICS Credit Score, receive customer and investor introductions, and join our global investor network. To date AVODA has facilitated more than $140,000 in investments and supported over 52 startups.
Where are you located?
